I started  my career in real estate in 1985, and began appraising property in 1993. I formed my own company, Insight Real Estate Services, in 2004. Clients tell me that they value our services because they're looking for easy communication, quality in-depth work with thorough attention to detail, and reliability that we'll deliver.

My background includes :

• About 15 years of experience in residential real estate appraisals
• Mass appraisal (real estate assessment work for the City of Alexandria, VA)
• Sales and administration within the homebuilding industry
• For about three years, I put my interest in music to work with a national concert promoter....that was quite a few  years ago!

I'm active within the local real estate industry:

• I was appointed by Alexandria's City Council to serve on the Board of Equalization of Real Estate Assessments. We are a five member board hearing appeals from taxpayers regarding their real estate assessments (appraisals done by the government). We collectively make decisions on whether taxpayers' real property assessments are fair and equitable.
• As a member of the MRIS Appraiser's Advisory Committee,  I am helping to shape MRIS services to provide maximum capabilities for appraisers, thereby improving the appraisal quality in the Metro DC area. MRIS is the local multiple list service provider.

For fun, I enjoy local music and art festivals, traveling, being on the water, cooking, and hanging out on my front porch with my neighbors!
